David Post, DVM, and Laura Zanetis Post, Ph.D., are both devoted Airedale Terrier breeders in Tyler, TX, sharing a love of the breed. They do not believe in the “perfect dog.” A dog will always be a playful, energetic, loyal, and enthusiastic family member. The Airedale Terrier show dogs bred by Texter Terriers may be great dogs, but they are still dogs that may occasionally dig holes in the backyard or chew one of your favorite shoes!

David is a veterinarian (DVM from Texas A&M University) and he also has a Master's degree in genetics. He was a research scientist for many years before he went to veterinary school and he has authored many scientific papers and other nonfiction articles. He currently owns and operates a veterinary clinic in Tyler, Texas.
His interest in Airedales goes back to childhood when his father used to tell stories to him about Airedales who performed amazing feats. When he was 14 years old, he had saved enough money to purchase his first Airedale. He has owned Airedales ever since.
In the eighties, David owned several Airedales, most noted, Ch. Briggsdale's Baby Jane. Jane died prematurely from autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AHA) and this experience fueled David's desire to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine, a decision that he has not regretted.

Laura has a Ph.D. in biochemistry (also from Texas A&M University). She was a research scientist for many years with multiple publications to her credit. She has also provided social services to AIDS patients at a hospital in Houston (one of her most rewarding activities).
Laura became familiar with Airedales through her relationship with David. She is the primary show groomer for both Airedales & Scotties and has owner-handled both breeds successfully.
She and David live on a small farm near Tyler, Texas raising children, cattle, and Airedales. Texter Terriers has produced numerous champions, won many group wins with multiple dogs, and had significant wins at specialties including Best of Breed.
